How do I take care of my candles?
~ When you light your new candle, it is important to let the surface of the wax melt evenly to the edge of the container to avoid a "tunnel" effect during future uses. This is especially important during the very first use.
~ To ensure the candle burns evenly, be sure to place it on a flat surface away from drafts.
~ To maximize the life of your candle, let it burn for a maximum of 2 consecutive hours and at least until the entire surface is melted.
~ Before each use, cut the wick so that it is about 1 cm from the edge of the wax. A wick that is too long will produce an unstable flame and more soot, while a wick that is too short may drown in wax or produce a very weak flame.
What should I do if my wooden wick no longer wants to light/goes out quickly?
If the wax has formed a "tunnel" or you think you cut the wick too short, the candle may be producing a very weak flame, going out quickly, or simply not wanting to light. In this case, you can try removing a small amount of wax near the wick to give it more room.
Wooden wicks are easier to light with a long lighter and leaving the flame on the wick for 5-8 seconds to give it more power.
What do you do to ensure that your products are environmentally friendly?
~ Our candles are hand poured from natural, biodegradable soy wax. Unlike the more popular paraffin wax, the wax we use is sustainably produced and chemical free, promising a cleaner, safer and longer burn for your candle.
~ We use crackling wicks made only from all-natural, eco-friendly, FSC-certified untreated wood.
~ Our fragrance oils are phthalate and paraben free, making them safer for you and the environment.
~ Our products and all materials used are not tested on animals and do not contain any animal derived substances.
What is your policy regarding returns or exchanges?
We accept exchanges in the case of a defective product or one that is damaged on delivery. You have 14 days after receiving your candle to return it. It must be in the same condition as received and still in its original packaging. To request an exchange, contact us at info@wickedbliss.ca
What are the delivery rates?
The rates are $9.99 for standard delivery and $18.99 for express delivery. Shipping is free for any purchase of $80 or more.
